Fostering Innovation. Protecting Taxpayers.

When it comes to your tax dollars, results matter.  That’s why Robert introduced a new way to tackle the most pressing and costly public sector challenges facing our state. Through ResultsOHIO, issues like addiction, infant mortality, and poverty can be met head-on by enlisting private sector innovation in a way that protects taxpayer dollars and embraces bold new ideas.  Through this initiative, Ohio is now better equipped to take advantage of private sector innovation to identify new strategies that actually solve the problems that continue to plague our communities.

Growing Ohio Families.

Robert believes that children are a gift from God. He also believes in removing the financial barriers that so often prevent loving parents from growing their family and welcoming a child into a forever home.  Through the Family Forward initiative, Robert is establishing a tool to provide families with needed relief from these financial stressors. That way, they can focus more on what really matters -- opening their hearts and homes through adoption.

A Steady Hand During a Most Challenging Time.

When Ohio was faced with COVID-19, Robert put his office to work. This included leading an effort to provide relief to small business owners, as well as implementing an innovative investment strategy that helped Ohio’s hospitals save money and direct dollars where they were most needed - providing services and saving lives.

Enhancing Government Transparency.

Taxpayers deserve to know how their tax dollars are spent. That’s why Robert led an effort to reimagine the Ohio Checkbook, creating a more comprehensive, efficient, and sustainable online government spending resource.  For the first time ever, Ohioans now have access to up-to-date state revenue and expenditures, hundreds of local government ledgers, and salary and expenditure data from all five public employee pension funds -- all in one convenient and easy-to-use website.  The new Ohio Checkbook does more and costs less -- and that’s a good deal for Ohio taxpayers.
