Pro-Big Family. Anti-Big Government

As a proud father and dedicated public servant, Robert believes in empowering families through sound conservative policies. Robert has consistently defended Constitutional principles, including the Second Amendment and protecting the Right to Life. As a legislator, he led Ohio back from the edge of bankruptcy; cutting taxes and restoring school funding while eliminating an $8 billion deficit. Now, as Ohio Treasurer, Robert is working to keep your tax dollars safe and finding new ways to invest in Ohio’s future.

Robert lives in Findlay with his wife, Amanda, and together they have five children -- Cole, Davis, Graham, Tate and Mary Hannah.

Small Town Leader

As Findlay City Treasurer and Auditor, Robert balanced city budgets and helped finance a massive recovery effort after historic floods and the 2008 economic crash ravaged the city. Under Robert’s leadership,  Findlay improved its credit rating, lowered its debt service costs, and created the city’s first annual financial report to help people better understand city’s public resources.

Bringing Private Sector Experience to Public Sector Leadership

After receiving an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s in Business Administration, Robert quickly acquired real world experience with Ernst & Young.  During that time, Robert built a career advising companies world-wide on a variety of complex business matters. Now, as Ohio Treasurer, he still draws on the lessons and expertise he acquired while working in the private sector.
